The SPARK-EX Control Unit DC1 is engineered for installation in environments where explosive concentrations of dust may be present.
Each DC1 unit can connect to and manage up to four spark detectors and two automatic extinguishing modules. The controller is capable of monitoring a single, comprehensive installation or two independent process lines simultaneously.
Furthermore, the unit is equipped with a two-step automation protocol. Step 1 activates upon the detection of system irregularities, while Step 2 initiates a user-defined response sequence based on pre-configured parameters.
Upon detecting a spark, ember, or fire, the SPARK-EX system triggers a high-intensity flashing light and a horn up to 98 dB. This ensures immediate awareness in loud industrial settings, with the visual signal serving as an added safeguard for staff in environments where hearing protection is used.
If a system fault occurs, such as a sensor or communication error, only the flashing light activates. The horn remains silent, providing maintenance personnel with a clear signal to investigate without disrupting operations or causing confusion with fire alarms.
These clear, differentiated signals help maintain optimal safety and operational readiness.
The Control Panel provides centralised Human-Machine Interface (HMI) with a touch screen offers a comprehensive overview of the entire system, simplifying monitoring, configuration, and event logging for up to 34 independent systems.
